Commercial use / private hire (filming)

■ Eligible uses (commercial use)

Special-effects productions, commercials, TV dramas, films, music videos, etc.
Independent films by students and photo sessions by individuals without a registered business are charged at the standard private-hire rate.

■ Basic rate (per hour)

(Weekdays) ¥7,000 (tax included) per hour
(Weekends & holidays) ¥15,000 (tax included) per hour
The minimum usage time is five hours.

■ Space and equipment

An environment built to meet the needs of professional shoots.

■ Basic specifications

・Floor area: 100㎡
・Ceiling height: 3,215mm (a generous height that gives you plenty of freedom with lighting)
・Capacity: 35 seated / 45 standing
・Electrical capacity: 60A
・Floor: ground floor (load-in without an elevator)

■ Internet (streaming-ready)

・Measured speed: 150Mbps down / 150Mbps up
※Speeds may vary depending on when they are measured.
Connection: Wi-Fi throughout / wired LAN ports available

■ Equipment and fixtures

・Video and audio: projector, monitor, extension cords
※No screen or whiteboard is provided (project onto the wall or bring your own).
Furniture: tables, chairs, couch sofas, etc. (layout can be changed)

■ Load-in and parking

・Load-in: a truck may pull up in front of the cafe for up to 10 minutes.
・Parking: the parking space can be used only when the food truck is not there (please check in advance).

■ Sound and rubbish

・Sound: because we are on the ground floor of an apartment building, loud instruments and noise are not allowed, but some acoustic performance or background music is fine.
・Rubbish: after sorting, we collect it for ¥1,000 per bag (free if you take it with you).

■ Location scouting (preview visit)

・Aiming for zero trouble on the day, cafe filament strongly recommends a location scout in advance. Check the load-in route, outlet positions, natural light and anything else until you are satisfied.
・Fee: free (no limit on the number of visits)
・Conditions: please make an appointment in advance so we can confirm how you will use the space and support you smoothly. The store manager will attend, listen to your needs in detail and make suggestions.

■ Options

・Coffee plan (from ¥1,500※ per hour): unlimited Nespresso coffee during your booking
・Cold drinks plan (from ¥1,000※ per hour): unlimited choice of ten or more drinks
・Rubbish collection (¥1,000 per bag): combustible waste; glass bottles, cans and PET bottles; cardboard
・Cutlery (¥500 per day): rental of coffee cups only, or of tableware
※Prices for 1 to 10 guests. For 11 to 20 guests, ¥2,000–3,000.

■ Cancellation policy

A cancellation fee of 100% applies from 19:00, 8 days before the date of the private hire.
　(Example) For a booking on 8 February
　　　Until 19:00 on 31 January: no cancellation fee
　　　　 From 19:00 on 31 January: 100% cancellation fee

Payment methods

・On-site payment on the day: cash, credit card, transit IC cards and QR code payments
・Payment after use: bank transfer only
※We support qualified invoices (the Japan invoice system).

■ Important notes

・Extensions are generally not possible. Shortening is possible, but no refund will be given for the amount paid.
・Crew are generally on-site, but can only provide minimal assistance.
・Please ensure all rubbish generated during private hire is sorted. The categories are: - Combustible waste - Glass bottles, cans and PET bottles - Cardboard Non-combustible waste will not be collected.
・You may move furniture and similar items, but our crew will be present to assist with heavy items and wiring. We request that any moved furniture be fully restored to its original position within the private hire period.
・Projectors are available for hire free of charge, but customers are responsible for setting them up.
・The facilities in filament, such as the toilet, coat rack, stationery, and mini fridge, are generally available for your use, but please handle them with care.
・Parking space number 11 in front of our cafe is available for your use. (Please note it cannot be used on days when the food truck is present. Please use the nearby coin-operated car park instead.)
・If you want to use the microwave or freezer, please hand your items to the crew.
・The in-store sound system may generally be used freely. (Please return it to its initial settings.)
・Snacks and food menus are not available.
・You can pay by bank transfer after use. Payments by all other methods must be made on-site on the day of use.
・Should you have any questions, please feel free to ask our staff.

■ Prohibited activities

・Use of open flames
・Smoking (the entire building is smoke-free)
・Filming adult content involving excessive nudity
・Filming content that promotes hatred based on race, gender, sexual orientation, place of origin or similar characteristics
